As we celebrate the third successive edition of Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival in Vadodara and the fourth in the city, we can’t help looking back. When we started off with the first edition in this city and visited the Art District, Alembic City, we had felt that “it was just the sort of place to kick off Bookaroo in a new city.”

Five years down the line, the sentiments are the same. Now, to rephrase the earlier statement “it is just the sort of place to continue hosting a children’s literature festival”. While the Art District’s creative and cultural connect with the people of Vadodara has grown by leaps and bounds with something new added on every year, Bookaroo is glad to have played a small part in the scheme of things.

For now, we are looking forward to a grand celebration of books and reading in Vadodara as excitedly as we are to the 50th overall edition of Bookaroo that is just around the corner.
